Policy

The President of COSA will work collaboratively to lead in addressing cancer workforce and resource issues at a national level in Australia.

This will be achieved by:

  • Identifying key areas that need to be strengthened in the delivery of cancer care and cancer control in Australia
  • Promoting the uptake of key policy documents, such as the Optimising Cancer Care in Australia report and implementation of Clinical Practice Guidelines
  • Ensuring that COSA attends or is represented at every forum where cancer service delivery policy is being considered.

COSA will also work collaboratively with key partners in helping to influence and shape cancer policy in Australia. Key partners include but are not limited to Cancer Council Australia, Australian Cancer Network, other NGO’s, Cancer Australia, Cancer Voices Australia and other professional colleges and societies, and governments at all levels.
