Tools and tips for implementation

The authors of this toolkit suggest a 5-step process to begin implementation of the position statement recommendations:
- Complete a baseline audit of your organisations’ adherence to the position statement recommendations (see audit tool below).
- Select the example AACTT framework/s relevant to your clinical context and tailor timeframes to suit local policy and resources (see AACTT frameworks below).
- Tailor the generic pathway to your local contact using the AACTT frameworks as a guide (you may want to create a different version of the pathway for each clinical context in your organisation) (see generic pathway below).
- Utilise the example clinical indicators to develop local key performance indicators to monitor adherence to your tailored pathway (see example clinical indicators below).
- Use the checklist to identify and address barriers to screening and assessment to support the implementation process within your organisation (see checklist below).
